I have a 2 bedroom ground floor adapted flat. The adaptions are a wet room with shower and no bath, all doorways are wider, there are 2 kitchen work tops that can be lowered and the hallway is quite big to enable wheelchairs or scooters to be charged up out of the way. There are 2 storage cupboards in the hallway. one bedroom has a super king sized bed and fitted wardrobe and the smaller bedroom has a double bed and a fitted wardrobe. The kitchen and living room are open plan, this makes it easier to get around if you have mobility problems, there is lots of storage in the kitchen & space for full size fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. I have a pretty big balcony and last summer I had all the wooden boards removed and composite planks installed, this makes it easier to walk on or use a wheelchair, it will last longer and is easier to keep clean. There is a car park under the building that is permit controlled and I have 3 passes, there is a security gate that is opened by a fob and there is 24hr monitored CCTV. I would like to live nearer to my son in Chatham so any area from Crayford to Chatham would be great. I would like to keep 2 bedrooms, however depending on space I could manage with a 1 bedroom. I am in a wheelchair so there are some adaptations that I would need such a wider doorways and a lift if not ground floor. Preferably a wet room.
